The Metro East & St. Louis service providers donated $500 for each full HVAC system installation in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (November 18, 2024) —Morrison Plumbing and Academy Air, Metro East and St. Louis’ leading providers of HVAC, plumbing and electrical services, presented a check to local nonprofit 3 Little Birds 4 Life during the grand opening of its new community center, The Nest, on November 16.
During the month of October, Morrison Plumbing and Academy Air donated $500 for each full system HVAC unit installation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raising a generous donation of $40,500. The funds will support the new community center, ‘birdie boxes’–care packages with products to ease the symptoms of treatment–and meal kits for breast cancer patients.
“Morrison Plumbing and Academy Air are honored to be able to support the opening of 3 Little Birds 4 Life’s new community center and their impactful work with individuals in our community impacted by cancer,” said Brett Diehl, Morrison Pluming and Academy Air President. “After hearing Ashley’s story and testimonies from our team members who had used and supported 3 Little Birds 4 Life, we knew they were the perfect recipient for this donation.”
Members of the Morrison Plumbing and Academy Air team presented 3 Little Birds 4 Life nonprofit with the check at the grand opening of the community center, The Nest. The event brought together the Metro East and St. Louis Community for a morning complete with food and drinks as well as raffles.
“We are so excited to begin this partnership with Morrison Plumbing and Academy Air,” said Ashley Swip, founder of 3 Little Birds 4 Life. “They not only want to support 3 Little Birds 4 Life financially but also through volunteerism and brand support. We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish with their help and support.”
The Nest serves as a gathering and supportive space for community members impacted by cancer. 3 Little Birds 4 Life will utilize the new location to host classes, events with other nonprofit partners, and guest speakers who will bring awareness to varying types of cancers. It will also house supplies for birdie boxes, meal kits and gift boxes to support patients and their caregivers.
